2012 Summer Season Wrap-up

Posted by on Sep 27, 2012 in Uncategorized | Comments Off on 2012 Summer Season Wrap-up

The leaves are changing and the temps are dropping, and I finally have a moment to step away from the fire and look back at all we’ve accomplished in a very busy summer.  Here’s what we’ve been up to: 9 weddings – from the Lyons Farmette, to Snow Mountain Ranch, the Dove House at Lionsgate Center in Lafayette, Boulder, Fort Collins, Greeley, Colorado Springs; we’ve been all over Colorado and have been honored to be a part of so many couples’ special moment 8 rehearsal dinners 8 backyard parties (“just because”) 7 birthday parties 5 school picnics 5 company picnics 3 church events 2 university events 1 block party 1 housewarming party 1 car show 1 fashion market Golden Bike Shop Bike Junkies Party Denver Day of Rock Great Divide Anniversary party Denver Beer Company Anniversary party Horseshoe Craft Market Club W Unwined Denver Summer Brewfest Cherry Creek Sidewalk Sale Evergreen Bootstraps Western Winefest Westword DISH Bent Gate Mountaineering Ski Season Kickoff party and as usual, keeping things real at our regular spots: Great Divide Brewery, Denver Beer Co, the VA hospital, Civic Center Eats, and Stapleton Farmer’s Market Some other notable accomplishments from this summer season: “Phreddie” has been born!  In June, we purchased an empty cargo trailer and started building.  First the oven, then the fridge, the prep table, and then all the little details to make it look great.  This may be our greatest creation to date.  Look for an upcoming blog post on all our progress with Phreddie. To deal with this year’s extreme fire danger, we retrofitted one of our ovens with 2 high-powered propane burners, took it out to Snow Mountain Ranch in Granby and cooked pizza for an entire wedding using only propane gas. We packed up the van, drove to the mountains, and served pizza for 3 days straight at the Phibstock music festival. Jim Harper helped us create an amazing short video which showcases what everyone loves about our pizza.  See the previous blog post below to view the video. After going to so many weddings together for work, two of our employees are now engaged! (who says an office romance can’t work out?)  Congratulations Doug and Laura!  We’re not sure if they have decided on a caterer for their wedding...

Pizza Profile: The Spicy Cheeseburger (in Paradise)

Posted by on Dec 15, 2011 in Uncategorized | Comments Off on Pizza Profile: The Spicy Cheeseburger (in Paradise)

Ahh, the hamburger.  An American institution.  A food that has literally changed the landscape of our country.  The dish immigrated from Germany (Hamburg to be exact) in the late 18th century and was first served in the United States at little food carts along the waterfront to sailors coming and going from New York Harbor.  Somebody accidentally dropped a piece of cheese on a burger in California in the 1930’s and the cheeseburger was born.  In the time since there have been a million variations on the classic sandwich, at all points along the spectrum.  Our version includes our signature red sauce, jack and cheddar cheese, all-natural lean ground beef hamburger, and a special kick with super spicy hot Thai chili’s.  Our veggie version is available with soy crumbles instead of ground beef. Enjoy this pizza as a special at our regular events, or request it for catering at your event.  We cater events throughout Denver, the foothills and the Colorado mountains.  We cater for weddings,  birthday parties, graduation parties, company events, and rehearsal dinners.  As your caterer, we promise you a truly unique and unforgettable experience.  We can always accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free diets.  Contact us...
